What it is YO!  It's me, Tim...I know, I have been MIA around here the past few months.  Spring is here and with good things in store.  First things first

(bookmark it!)

Head on over to my site and take a look around.  I would love to know what you think, so go ahead and throw a comment on this post to let me know.  Now onto the fun stuff... I have a GIVEAWAY to announce as a kickoff to the new website and season - here are the details.

Website Launch Giveaway
I will be giving away a Children's or Family Photo Session, CD of digital images AND a Professional 11x14 Canvas of your favorite image from the session - $290 VALUE - to ONE LUCKY WINNER!  There are FOUR ways to enter, here is how -
  • "like" my Facebook page Timothy Prust Photography
  • Post the following on YOUR Facebook wall "Check out and 'like' Timothy Prust Photography!  He is giving away a Photo Session, CD of digital images and a Professional 11x14 Canvas!" (make sure to tag Timothy Prust Photography so that I know to enter you for this)
  • Post WHY or WHAT you like about Timothy Prust Photography on the Timothy Prust Photography Facebook wall.
  • If you had a PAID session with me in 2010 - email me and I will put an entry in for you.
ONE entry will be counted for EACH of the above (so a maximum of 4 entries per person).  The giveaway will run for 2 weeks, starting Today, Good Friday - 4/18/11 and ending on Friday 5/6/11.  I will use random.org to select the winning person.  I will announce the winner on Facebook as well as my Blog.  The winner will have 3 days from the winner being announced to contact me (via facebook, email, phone, etc..).

BONUS GIVEAWAY - If I reach 300 Fans during the two weeks of this giveaway - I will GIVEAWAY TWO of these PACKAGES! (total of two)

If I do NOT hear from the winner, I will do the drawing again.  If you already have a session booked with me in 2011, you may use this free session for that OR you can hold onto it OR you can gift it to someone.  The winner must use the session by 10/01/11 or until the weather is permitting.

Now GO TELL YOUR FRIENDS and GET YOUR ENTRIES IN!
Good Luck Everyone!

Fine Print Stuff: The session in this giveaway is a children's or family session which is described on my website and blog, this is NOT for a Senior Photo Session.  This free session includes up to a family of four, additional family members will still be charged at the set price of $15 per additional person.  The image to be canvased will be selected by you but if I feel that specific image will not visually look right on the 11x14 canvas, I reserve the right to deny it , at which time another picture can be selected by the you.  If you prefer a smaller canvas, I will allow you to change the 11x14 size to an 8x10 or 5x7.  Once you have chosen the image to be canvased, everything is final, there is no changing.  This giveaway can not be exchanged for cash value.

The last thing I would like announce is that I raised my prices this year - Children/Family sessions are now $60 (up $10 from last year).  I also raised my CD pricing for both Children/Family sessions and my Senior Sessions.  Email me if you would like to know current CD pricing.

As always, thank you to all of you that comment on my blog or Facebook posts of images.  Your continued support is GREATLY APPRECIATED.

a good friend of mine and his wife had their first child almost two weeks ago and i was lucky enough to capture some photos of him in a mini shoot.  with the patience of everyone we were able to capture some very innocent photographs.  here are a couple pictures from the shoot for those of you that are sticking with me through my sporadic blog posts (thanks by the way)....  Congratulations Dan and Lisa.

life and work have gotten in the way of my lens, hence the lack of posts and activity with my photography.  i haven't completely abandoned my camera, but uploading them is another story.  here's to more photographs and posts from here on out! ~ or have you even noticed i've been gone? :)

i know, i know, i said i don't really like taking photos of flowers BUT my mother in law had this growing in her house and wanted me to grab a couple shots of it, so i obliged.  since editing these two and the other flower i recently posted on here, i am starting to like the post processing of flowers shots.  i don't really know what that means, but you may just start seeing some more flowers popping up on my blog.  hey and don't be shy, go ahead and leave a comment....i won't be mad if you say you hate it, love it or don't really care about my pictures...thanks!

just some of life and what i or we have been up to.

we celebrated Ganna (Ethiopian Christmas) on 1/7.

buzz and the toy story clan have been invading our house! (jax LOVES them!)

although side tracked at times, i have for the most part kept up with my workouts since i rededicated myself to getting healthy and in shape....again.  d has also started a workout and seems to like it very much (sorry i don't have a pic of her feet)

this is jaxson loving his bath time.  i take him swimming on fridays and just loves the water.  he is starting a swim class this saturday!

jaxson is growing and growing.  check out those feet!

jax is getting ready to learn all about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, wb and all the other technicalities of photography!

love this little guy, BUT that blue and orange thing is going in the garbage very soon.  i dont see it being a problem for him as he isn't greatly attached to it anyways.  well, that is pretty much what we have been up to, exciting, huh!?

thanks for stopping by.

i'm not one to really shoot flowers, but decided to shoot some roses that i got my wife this past week (point in the good husband column).  i actually liked one of the shots and did a little processing to it.  apparently someone else liked it too, so much that i was featured on her blog simplicity (faith, a fellow photographer that i follow).  please leave me a comment and let me know what YOU think!

as always thanks for following my blog!

snow sculptures | photographer racine, wi

so we decided to venture out of our house and into this bitter cold weather we are having to check out a snow sculpture competition downtown.  WOW, these guys are some true artists.  not only does their work look amazing, they do this in 15 degree weather....so not my thang, but I was in awe of how intricate these were and how much they paid attention to the details.  here are a few.

they take an idea ~ some in form of a sketch, some a model and some from a photo.

here is what their canvas looks like

and this is the end result

look at the detail

j had a good time just running around (had to include a pic of him)

towards the end of the night he decided to hang out on, what he thinks is his new chair, enjoying the Christmas tree

someone got jealous and wanted their picture taken as well

have a great week everyone.

so i'm not a huge concert goer but my brother is friends with the band Chevelle so I've gotten out to a couple of concerts of theirs, which by the way are a great live band.  this week they were in milwaukee so i went out to the concert and brought my camera.  i had an all access pass so i was able to get up front for the first 2 songs with the press to get some great shots.  i had a great time shooting at this concert and would love to do it again.  here are a few of shots that i got (had a hard time choosing ~ i'll probably do another post of some more later).  leave a comment letting me know what you guys think!

(sooc)

one of the opening bands was Finger Eleven, here are a couple of shots of them.
